It can be tricky to work out which size skip you might need – you don’t want to end up with waste left over, nor do you want to be paying for one that is half full. If you get in touch, we can talk through your project and give you advice on which option would suit your needs, but here is a simple guide to give you an idea of what we offer and what kind of projects they are most often used for:
Our mini skip is ideal for garden clearance projects, clearing out a shed or smaller DIY projects. For example, if you are taking one or two rooms back to the brickwork, re-plastering and decorating.
Our midi skip is for the next size up of project. It holds larger pieces of furniture and suits a medium sized project – for example if you you are replacing a small kitchen or bathroom, redecorating (but not gutting) a whole home or extending a room into the garden.
The 6 yard Maxi skip is between the size of a domestic skip and the size that builders usually use for larger projects, and it’s perfect for bathroom and kitchen refits or the digging of large footings for a conservatory or new extension.
Finally, the 8 yard maxi skip is for the biggest projects. If you are completely gutting and designing you home, this is the skip for you. It’s the biggest skip we offer for domestic use and is ideal for bulky waste such as soil, concrete and other builders waste. It can take up to 4 tonnes of soil and stone, and will need a bigger space to host it.
